man this game sucks...

so, i haven't played any of the previous games, and i always wondered what was that big hype around this series. So far i'm not impressed at all, this game is the lazyest AAA game I have seen. The combat system is atrocious, the enemies are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bullet sponges, and dont get me started on the story. I'm in to this game for 3-4 hours, and I still dont have a freakin idea what is going on. This is just pure horrible game design. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i'm angry...

ohh, you want specifics, i'll give you specifics. The fact that I can only shoot while standing still i just stupud, the inventory system is ok but terribly implemented, I cant scroll through my weapons, like I said previously the enemies are bullet sponges, thus making the weapons useless, the melee system is another huge problem in this game mainly because its useless, and I have to press another button to get acces to it. The gameplay i sjust boring, the worst boss fights ever, enter the area clear the area, enter the survive the area, its just tedious as hell. the only good thing I can say about this game is its graphics, and its cutscenes, which are up to the standards of other capcom games like DMC, or Castlevania.

Are these specific enough?

Melee useless? One time just for giggles I went through the entire campaign using nothing but melee attacks just to see if I could. I had to use guns on most of the bosses, but it was a lot of fun.

Resident Evil 5 is pretty bad honestly. It's like Resident Evil 4 failed version. Resident Evil 2 and 3 are excellent, one is a bit old but if you can put your hands on the GC version you should go for it, Code Veronica is for me the best , Resident Evil 4 is different but still good and the story is interesting. AAaaand Resident Evil 5 is just again, pretty bad.

I have played all of them. I mostly agree with you too, with one caveat. RE5 kind of sucks if you're playing single player, but with a good co-op partner it's a lot of fun. RE6 is definitly the worst, here's hoping for a return to form with RE7.

The game is bad, but not for the reasons you mention. We speak of a classic saga that fell into decay. Do zombies are bullet sponges? Well, they are zombies. Press another button to access the melee? Did you like pressing a single button for all? Come on...

you must hate RE1 then. if you manage to kill a zombie, or hit it in the head, it comes back in a couple min

Melee combat is brokenly overpowered, what are you on about?

Capcom didn't have any part in Castlevania either (it was Konami), so I'm inclined to believe you're talking out of your arse.

Compared to RE 6, yes thig game a bit sucks. The character movements are slow, you cant actually evade (except QTE or press X to evade), you cant do quick action, you cant do much if you're surrounded (your melee does bad damage).

At first when the game came out, this game was good, especially the partner system. You can help friends, etc. The game was set on daylight, there's Chris and (SPOILER) Jill, no horror stuff (perfect for new gamers), and so on.
