How to start a new game?
I am trying to start a brand new save file to play with a friend and when I remove my old save the game just says 'failed to load save", well yeah there is no save file. How can I fix this?

Unfortunately RE5 doesn't allow you to start a new game. Anyway, there's a way around:

- Locate your save in c:\programfiles\Steam\userdata\"random numbers"\21690\remote.
Your save is called savedata.bin. I advise you to make a backup just in case.

- Open it with notepad and delete a couple lines, save and quit.

- Now launch RE5 and try to load your save. Obviously the game will say the file is corrupted and and it can't be loaded. Then the game will create a new valid savefile

Wow that is so dumb, I actually did another method last night which required me to disconnect from the internet and delete the save folder and launch the game.
Capcom should of made it a lot easier to make saves.

Thank you so much. lol
I also want to add, it may be because of the new update, but I had to load in, exit, then load back in before it created a new save. Otherwise it would have kept going without a save.
