I actually thought found the El-Gigante was one of the easiest parts, But yeah the game is too hard on veteran, there are too many enemies and too many ways you can easily die. I am constantly dying or taking damage. I really like this game, but it is annoyingly difficult sometimes.

I'd recommend just starting an open lobby and hoping that a pro who has everything unlocked will join and help carry you through, this is the only way I have so far managed to reach chapter 6 on veteran. without their help I would have found it impossible. This game seems extremely hard for me also.

Hi

El gigante isn't so hard to defeat, even in Vet or Pro.
Here are some tips than can help you :

- Of course succes all QTE to avoid the attacks
- Never let the weapons overheat
- Keep your ears open, when you hear the evil laugh, Majanis are coming, kill them ASAP (easier with Chris).
- When he is about to stomp you, shoot under his feet (easier with Sheva).
- When he is about to knock with the 2 fists together, shoot his head.
- DO NOT waste the barrels to damage the Boss, it is useless.
- Use the barrel when the Boss is taking a rock or a wood trunk.
- If the Boss take a rock, shoot the rock
- Shoot the same plagas as the other player.

I usually finish the fight with 100% vehicule condition, in all difficulty, even in solo with the AI controlling the 2nd character.

Add me as friend if you want I help you.

Hii I've been trying to beat him (on veteran) for a few days now and I just can't seem to get it done I know it's been a few years since you wrote this but could you maybe help me? :(

Veteran should be easy enough, are you struggling with the QTEs or the attacks you have to interrupt? stage 2-3 is just a House of the Dead stage to change the pace a little.

to interrupt his non-qte attacks attack the limb he uses - like arm or leg
you can destroy rock he launches at you if both you and AI aim consistently (mostly the issue on players side)
use barrels to stun him if he grabs a tree\pole

Also, on pro he is MUCH easier if you play Sheva (AI struggles to keep gun spinning without shooting means she always has a delay in attack, and her gun deals more damage)
So its possible to kill him in 2 cycles (on 2nd time big worm appears) and on pro it most likely take 3 cycles. While if you use Chris it will be 3 cycles most of the time

QTEs and the Majinis idk why but even though I press the right buttons when they appear it doesn't work half the time

Attacks with QTEs are very well telegraphed (he also tends to do a quick attack when you shoot a red barrel when he picks up the boulder), so you can memorize them.
If you don't miss any QTE it really won't be that bad, and make sure to kill majinis whenever Ndesu is in a stagger animation or something like that, but especially the molotov majini to the left.
In professional difficulty, pressing the wrong button will make you fail the QTEs in single player or splitscreen modes (where both players need to succeed the QTE for it to count), while playing online only requires any one player to press the buttons.
If you focus on shooting the main parasite you can finish the fight in two cycles even on the highest difficulty.
Also, you can simply shoot him in the head at all times, or foot when he's going for a stomp, never needed to shoot a specific arm or anything like that, and you also don't need to shoot the same parasite as your partner
