Controller players can use D-Pad to switch weaoons or other items fast without open inventory first, if have reorganize your inventory...
D-Pad:
• Up = Inventory on 1st Row and Center Column
• Down = Inventory on 3rd Row and Center Column
• Left = Inventory on 2nd Row and 1st Column/Left Column
• Right = IInventory on 2nd Row and 3rd Column/Right Column
Skip Reload animation delay...
Practice this:
1. Open Inventory
2. Select Ammo
3. Combine
4. Select Weapon (for that ammo)
Reload fast without animation, save up to 3+ seconds...
or you can press the aim button to quick select items from your inventory
if that doesn't help really then idk.
also no EX2 the game doesn't show this tip in the file i just checked not too long ago.
i'll just post a video showing what i mean soon
D-Pad gives you 4 different choices, not just 2, not affected of Controller Type Settings
What do i mean with fixed. You have time to fix your stuff, safe areas so do say.
Im more focus on fast rhythm areas where the time you have to acess stuff is limited or unexistant (Like no mercy or even versus)
Back when versus used to be alive controller players have to take a few seconds to organice their stuff bc the weapons they took where on the non quick acess shortcuts and they have to put them on those areas, on early game this wasnt an issue but on mid-late game if they pick up a rocket launcher they need to put it on the 2, 4, 6 or 8 slots in order to make "no scope" shoot, while a keyboard players wouldnt even care about it and regardless of where the rocket launcher ended up it was just matter of press the number button of the slot where the rocket launcher ended up being picked, if the rocket was on the 7 slot literally instantly after picking up the rocket launcher just press 7 and fire it up and done while the controller player had no chance bc by that poin he probably had .
2 Shotgun, 4, Rifle, 6 Magnum, 8 Flash granade. And keyboard can have a mess without issues as long as it remembers where the gun is, it can be something like 1 Hadgun, 2 Granade, 3 Shotgun, 4 Magnum, 5 Rifle, 6 Incendiary granade, 7 Shotgun ammo, 8 Rifle ammo 9 Free slot (Probably for rocket launcher pick up) and earn access to all his stuff by pressing one button. While if the controller player wants to use the Flash granade it would be fored to Open inventory, select the granade and press aim button.
Also, im not so sure about this. But controller players also have a hard time breaking free from enemies, They either took they time breaking free or take a lot of damage before pussing the enemy away. On veteran- Professional session where i joined latetly i saw how when a Licker grabs them they lose almost all the health (Even with both armor and combat protection on) and the keyboard once they just instnatly break free or before losing half health.
If you wonder how can i know when i had a controller or a keyboard player, Inventory placement, i notice that controller players always had the ammo for the gun that they use most on the middle slot (5th slot) rather that on the side or lower slo of where the gun is, at the begining i couldnt understand why but after playing with controller i notice that regardless where you left the select position everytime that you open the inventory again his position its reseted to the middle slot, so the middle slot it is ammo for the most used weapon or the fifth gun in order to equip it quickly and herbs usually are on the 8th slot.
Keyboard players uses the first 4 slots for weapons and the rest, well they dont even care (And this is an "orginized" player, i recently saw people having the guns on slots like 7, 9th or 6 where i cant understand why but it seems to work for them so...
About the Desesperate Escape thing. I never tryharded score on that mode (I probably did on LIN years ago) but again, since it is a fixed scenario getting a shotgun or rifle makes the whole run easier (And theres usually one on the first stage on the room on the left side of the exit gate that you need the key to escape) and again theres a lot of time to hide and fix the stuff, i would be more intrested on a high score on the lowest time posible where im confident enough that under a kind of "speedrunning" category it would be a huge difference on a score and playtime.
A bad item placement or just getting grabbed it is 2 times more punishing on controller vs a keyboard
Honestly if i could close this post i would, i started a war i didn't intend it seems
FYI wests not helping on Professional
An enemy AK-47 reduces 4/5 of health without armor on professional while with the bulletproof vest it reduces down to 1/3 giving a chance to find cover while getting another shot or figth back.
Melee vest gives protection against weapons throw at you character, If a majini throws a machete to you in profesional you instantly go down to dying while the vest will make you survive with 4/5 of health. Melee vest also reduces the damage recived by grabs which can open a window if a Licker grabs you with less than 40% of health to eaither break free or get saved by you partner before its to late.
Maybe it ist that effective like it is on veteran but their not useless on professional and since the game dosent pause the Dying timer on coop when you Press "V" whiel you are carrying a herb like it does on solo. I prefer use the resucitate animation rather than the healing one.
Getting a physical attack regardless how many times wil put you into dying state (Except two specific hits from Jill) but other than that, it is always a dying state.
But if an enemy throws you a weapon and hits you there is when the melee vest makes a difference, letting you survive with 20% health rather than dying.
Bulletproof reduces teh ak-47 recived damage and Jill bossfigth damage from the machine gun. But you´ll still die if you get damage from Wesker Samurai Edge.
As i said before, i prefer run armor on professional rather than F.Aid Sprays like everyone does. I always leave my teammate run with all the medical stuf and i focus on picking up my ammo (Even that i have the infinite ammo unlocked i had it disabled on my special settings bc i get bored quickly with the inifnite ammo and at personally, knowing when is the best time to use certain guns is more fun for me)
With that being said, i always recommend that the player that usually gets damage should carry all the herbs bc the one who dosent wont waste Dying timer on the resucitate animation, while if the one who dosent get damage often carry the herbs, well you lost the first 1/4 of time on the teammates red camera, yeah you cold press and Hold Q+W or Fire button + LS or L2 foward to move on your teammates direction instantly but while you are equiping the herb after pressing V (B or circule on controller) the timer most likely will be off by the time you use it and be forced to restart.
Since im the one who has to play more careful (Or even agressive bc many players are scared to even move on professional) i had to plan more hwo im gonna execute the attack while the guy with the infinite ammo will usually go commando with Hydra, magnum or rocket launcher and most of the time getting himself kill.
