Resident Evil 5
Strange Question - Motion Dizzy
I played RE5 on the PS4 & Switch before getting the PC version. I have never with any game had issue with eye strain or motion dizziness like with say VR. As stated I've played this on other platforms with no issues.

I notice I was getting eye strain / general comfortableness when playing RE5. Am I the only one?

Is it a setting I can tweak. It's not unplayable, I can live with it, i'm more curious. Sitting further back didn't change things.

I'm on max settings as its a new PC but I do notice occasional blur lines directly through the middle of the screen horizontally (subtle but there). Its almost like a interlaced projection.

Anyway not life or death but I hadn't noticed it on any other game.

The new update added a optional new camera that's farther away from the character, it helps with motion sickness. Did you tried it or even the new camera doesn't help?
Previously there was a mod that made the same thing.

This is why people always ask for a FoV slider in third and first person shooters. I remember Dead Island making a friend so dizzy, she had to lay down after 20 minutes.

As I unfortunately discovered recently within a Steam thread I created, the FOV function inside the RE5Fix mod breaks the in-game LOD system after you put in a specific value (no idea what the stable values are supposed to be if there are even any, but I used to play with 20-25 FOV set inside the .ini file of the mod), so if you decide to use the mod, you'll have to do some testing yourself.

The only FOV adjusting mod I've found so far without any problems is this one :

Do not be afraid of the virus warning, the remoddingboards is a popular RE5 modding site, the site used to work without issues up until a few months ago, but since then, the virus warning has been popping up for whatever reason. Even recently, I downloaded some mods from there without any consequences.

Feel free to ask around the forums in case you don't believe me about the site being
safe to use.

That could be it.

It thought ... (& discounted as I thought it was stupid), ... that the characters looked bigger than the PS4 & Switch versions.

I'll give it a try.
