local co-op (split screen)

What do you mean "open the menu"?
What menu?

edit: found out how to do it myself, you actually press start on the controller when you're in-game and that should start splitscreen. If that doesn't work then try press esc on your keyboard and that should also start it.

Start any chapter, and when you can control your character, press start on the second controller. The game will load the storage menu and it will be in the two player mode.

create a game, choose solo, then pause the game (with your controller) and in pause menu, press ESC key on keyboard

hello to everybody! Could i put 2 controllers on the game , or one player has to play with controller and the other with keyboard?

You can play local co-op both ways:

- Option 1: one player uses the controller and the other player use mouse/keyboard.
Start the game with the controller then press ESC when the chapter starts (or in the reverse order, press Start on the controller).

- Option 2: using two controllers, one for each person.
When the chapter starts, press Start button on the second controller.

Can anyone help? Local co-op crashes near first fighting without patch, using the fix and co-op partner cant join at all. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you sure it's not a corrupted file? Without any fan patch the game and online worked just fine for me. I cleared it from start to finish with a friend online, zero issues (apart from the known bugs/softlocks that still exist in this port ). Make a verification of the game files and see if it helps (from Steam Library select Resident Evil 5 properties, go to Installed Fles tab and click on Verify integrity of game files).

The moment I try entering either pressing start on the controller or esc on the keyboard, the 2nd player doesnt join and instead it only changes controlls from keyboard/gamepad and viceversa. Any solution on that ?
