I can't find a single match and when I find one I get kicked probably because people are there just to boringly boost, which is 99% of the playerbase that go in Versus.
I only played it with bots for the achievements and that's it but I saw that it could be fun especially with a friend against actual humans.
I just don't like it. It's unbalanced and unfun. You and the enemy can see eachothers locations at all times, rendering it easy to find the enemy, and easy to avoid them. There's no element of surprise. You also can't move while you shoot, so it's literally just a standoff of you and the enemy standing there shooting eachother, and basically whoever has the more damaging gun wins. And in Survivors mode, basically once you lose all your guns, there's nothing you can do anymore and you inevitably lose the game. I also can't understand why Slayers allows you to fight the enemies, despite Slayers being for getting a higher score, not PvP.
RE6 Survivors mode has some flaws, sure. More specifically, the ability to be invincible while climbing, and "weapon swap" exploiting to shoot faster. However, disregarding those two things, RE6 Survivors mode is vastly better. You and the enemies don't see eachothers locations at all times, which can allow you to sneak up on them. You can move while shooting, as well as dodge, which makes gunfights much more interesting. And if you run out of ammo, you can try beating the enemy to death, which is much more efficient than RE5's knifing mechanics.
RE5's versus I simply cannot enjoy. RE6's Survivors, again while it has flaws, it IS more fun.
Then dont play it and go away.
Not being able to move while shooting creates a situation where you must decide to commit to a shot or bait (just like vaulting in dead by daylight, the killer can assume you'll vault and you can't move or cancel it while doing it), the way re5's player damage works means there's even more prediction at play the more lag there is, if you watch anyone who's decent at the mode you'll notice the last thing they do is stand still shooting at each other unless they know they have the upper hand and will win the encounter.
Also, I've killed quite a few shotgun and magnum wielders with machine guns and handguns lol.
Lastly, you're not meant to lose all weapons upon dying, that's a bug introduced in this version and carried over to PS4, Xbox one and switch (only difference is you can't apply fan-made patches to fix it on consoles).
That being said. I 100% understand not liking it, but I do question how you said re6 is somehow more balanced XD the re6 community has a rulebook the size of Russia for a reason
Also, why you comment this instead of just messaging it to me bruh?
And well, because a friend sent me this post without even knowing you're in my friends list and this way other people can read and reply as well xD
It didn't work well in RE5 and 6. Umbrella Corps was a total failure. And REsistance is just more unbalanced ♥♥♥♥. Capcom has serious problems getting PvP to work with RE, best attempt was probably Operation Raccoon City, which was actually developed by Slant Six.
re5 VS actually has the mechanic itself you should learn how the mechanic gameplay works so that it (for example learning weapon spawn on each map, taking damage to your enemies to gain points)
just play re5 on the console so you will get experience playing VS
