The QTE events on PC suck and are bad design.

Why couldnt they copy what they did on the controller... The aim and fire button is one qte, and the other is like A+D. I literally die because I spend half a second seeing what buttons they are as theyre not color coded like xbox. I only have pretty much half a second to react which I can, but im also dyslexic so it just makes me more stupid when it comes to processing reading. Like capcom is so lazy when having their companies port to PC. I shouldnt have to switch to a controller for some fights or one shot QTE events just cuz they spam a qte every 4 seconds. On vet and pro you literally have like maybe a second, so spending half that time reading is dumb. If they did what I said, it wouldnt be a non issue. theres a reason most games dont use the same looking buttons for several QTE events. AF AD, they both look the same at first glance.

Ive literally only died due to fighting the horrible controls. The only reason I put up with it, is because in general shooting is fun and I like the over the top cheesy RE games. I literally have to switch to a controller for these dumb QTE events that spam a qte every few seconds. The only good side about the controls, is that they knew the controls where terrible, so they made the AI slow at reacting to make up for the fact the controls are bad.


I just noticed, they also add more buttons to most the QTE events on pc... RN im fighting the octo boss on the boat. On controller its just X or A. PC its E+F or A+D. lol. Like I feel like a toddler with out upset im getting because I cant read something that fast lol. My reaction time with test is 170 MS, so im spending llike 800 ms reading, then just panicking mashing two buttons.

ALSO age of the game doesnt mean ♥♥♥♥. So dont bring that into the argument to excuse bad designs. Its 2009 games in 2k had better qte buttons ffs re4 had better qte buttons.

I have A+D and E+V. Depending in what i see (A or E) then is easy to know which button i need to press next. You just need to configurate it as you want (the more comfy way for you). But i am agree. With controller you only need to press one button while in PC you need to press two. That was not fair at all but at the end you get used to it

Controller the first time I used it. It was giving me B+Y and A+X, and then Left and right trigger. But thats still miles easier as you see the color, you hit those buttons. Honestly ima just change my prompts to the same row and just spam all buttons. I dont think there is a fail thing for if you hit the button wrong lol.

And idk if I can get use to it. The buttons all look the same at first glance. Just like ill never truly get use to the camera xD. After all its the only reason I die. The controls are the real boss of this game :^). At least they designed the AI around the controls though.

As example, In Wesker fights, I first spam A+D and then E+V because there is like one milisecond frame for an error. Same for Jill. You need to have a hawk eye for see it in time. In Lost in Nightmare Wesker is even tougher with QTE

It's just weird QTE's are even hard, ive never had a hard qte. Prior to this game, the only time I failed qte's was in something like RE4 where the story was so engaging I forgot I was suppose to be playing. Which i generally hate that mechanic, as the only reason they put it in there was for cheese lol. And yeah when i googled to see if people cried about this. That was the main fight I heard bad things about for QTE. Im only on chapter 4-1 so im not there yet. I was just facing ivern which his qte's dont do much dmg on vet, but it was still stupid since he spams them at one point every second. I did that entire fight on controller due to it. Unless I was using my MAG, since sometimes id do a pot shot at him with the mag then instantly picked the controller back up. DIDNT WANNA WASTE THAT MAG AMMO. since ive only gotten like 12 shots of the mag so far.
