Why would they make the PC camera move like this...

I tried controller, it moves fine. So why the hell would they make moving the camera on PC just cancer? I play with lower sensitivity, and it is at 2. Aiming is still fast as hell, accelerated by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FOV which is some how lower than 70. Then when youre not aiming and youre moving, its just stupid slow. Non of these issues are on the controller, but controller aiming is ass for me.

Is there even a mod to change this god awful camera ♥♥♥♥? Literally re 4 is miles better for camera, and thats terrible too.

not to mention you cant launch the game with out modding it. Which honestly should be illegal to sell a non working game, even if you can get it to work with some fixes.

you are complaining to a 2009 game... grow up and think before you speak, ofc back then we don't have steam now do we ? So they use the good ol' Microsoft Windows XP: Games for Windows Live. Now that GFWL ? it's dead, that's why you can't start the game since it is never patched, fortunately modders find a roundabout of some dll file to fix it. So it is not criminal, the game was designed that way, Capcom just lazy on patching old games.

Also your Mouse DPI is an issue, not the game, set the DPI. FOV does nothing to mouse acceleration other than giving you more screen to see so you can act faster.

Steam was a thing in 2009. Idk if im ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about a game not working on steam, its a game not working lol. Modders shouldnt have to do the jobs of the devs.
And it isnt a dpi issue your guy turns like he has broken legs. And fov makes the sensitivity when aiming feel faster than it is because its like 50 fov. youre seeing less, so it seems to feel like it moves faster. Stop acting like youre smart when youre not.

I only found one or two mods for FOV, non actually work really. The one that kinda works says its 72 fov when in reality its like 10 fov higher lmao. Anyways im use to it by now. Just annoying that a game in 2009 doesnt have a fov option lmao.

2009 games excuse nothing if it's been sold as broken as it is and the old Games for Windows Live was not "good ol'" at all.Maybe you should grow up if you tell people to not complain on a broken product they bought that can be fixed only with holy fan patches done for free and in some cases not even that fixes the game.

There is this mod too that gives you the chance to set the fov and camera view as you prefer,also you can add HD shadows,enhanced colors and characters swap: https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevil5goldedition/mods/2

The easiest way to atleast fix the camera is going into your documents and locate the folder called "CAPCOM",open it then "RESIDENT EVIL 5" and edit the config file.
You should see a text called "RemasteredCamera=OFF" (or something like that),delete OFF and write ON then save it and the camera should change,else download the patch above.

Rick's QOL patch fixes a lot of things but yeah KB/M controls are absolutely abysmal on this, especially compared to what you've got with RE4 and the HD pack. The PC version is also straight up worse than the PS/Xbox ones even when it does work because those have the DLC Mercenaries content all in one mode and higher quality shadows.

Sure you have mods on PC but when most of the quality ones are wiped from the internet and unobtainable, incompatible with the QOL patch, and/or don't work at all on KB/M what does that really do for you?

I forgot with re 4 I had a fan patch that let you control your movement with the mouse. So I was able to do a 360 in half a second

You also even tried the config file editing and the Ultimate Trainer?
Talking about Ultimate Trainer I easily increased the fov,camera distance and removed the green filter so if you haven't done that it's your best bet.About the slow camera I think there is no patch like in RE4 that makes your movement so quick but I could be wrong.
Dunno about "Remake of 2 and 3 are broken",maybe you are talking about the new patch that made the games very heavy,for the rest they are good for my experience.

Yeah some people come in the discussions just to feel smarter or better than others,it will never change just like their fails.Truth is that RE5 has never been fixed for modern hardware and OS,it was just ported from Xbox 360 back then for Windows 7 systems and that's about it.They did a patch in 2021 but I don't really know what's changed,it just made the game heavier for a low-end GPU that I had some months ago.

I would but the one I find on nexus mods, I have to do like 5 minutes of work to get it to work, and im too lazy. Since it says its a massive virus lul. I might get fed up and do it since I only die due to the ♥♥♥♥ camera system or my partner getting gang banged cuz she gets stuck on a wall.
