Resident Evil 5
when checking Documents I cannot Find my CAPCOM FOLDER AND THE GAME IS FAILING TO SAVE
Resident evil 5 has a very old save from when I played near 2015, it keeps loading this save even if I disable the Cloud saving for this game, I was told to go look and change some settings within the documents folder but I was never able to find the documents all my other friends had, I am sending this out looking for help, and yes I have installed the GFWL things to allow me to at least boot the game. If anyone can help please respond I will keep everyone updated since I don't think I would be the only one having this issue

Try this....File Explorer/Documents/Capcom

This is where my config settings are for 5. Not by clicking 'Documents'. but going into 'File Explorer', go to column on the left, 'This PC' and then accessing 'Documents' from there. 'Capcom' is in the Doc section. Dunno why it's there and not in main Doc folder, though.

Good Luck!

Savedata is on the steam files. On documents/capcom/RESIDENT EVIL 5 is your config.ini data, your graphic settings.

Ya, so how do we restart the game fresh? Or is this a disposable game?

Open you steam folder and copy this file direction

\steam\userdata\91843988\21690\remote

I took the time to find your Steam account ID and put it on place. You only had to paste this \userdata\91843988\21690\remote after the steam part.

You will find a "savedata.bin" delete it or just check is not "read only". If the file is on "read only" then thats why you cant save progress.

thanks everyone the issue was that the Documents folder wasn't showing the INI and the 21690 wasn't making a save. but the issue was fixed, turns out my old job (Remote technical support call center) had disabled the windows anti-virus and it was blocking the game from changing or installing new files and folders on my PC.

So make sure to check windows antivirus and enable the most recent block and make sure you are still the admin of the PC you own!!!
