Running the game on MAC

My friend and I would like to play this game in coop, but she's a big weirdo and has a MAC for some reason.
Is there a way to play RE5 on a mac AND at the same time connect to each other with me running the game on PC?

As You both have separate Steam Accounts, you can just play normaly.
1 Form you mush create lobby, set co-op settings to Invite Only and make game.
Shift+Tab to oepn steam overlay and right click on your friend and invite to lobby.
Only problems with cross-platfor have Consoles with PC
But i thing , it should work normally

First:

Be polite to those who are responding you back! English is not the Earth's only language so no need to comment about grammar issues, which also can be caused by fast typing. Anyone can have them and it won't cause the apocalypse.

Second:

Each game has the System Requirements section which "explains" what you need in order to run the game. And if to be clear and explain more detailed, Game uses 3rd party "Games for Windows Live" software which is not available for use anymore by game but still comes with it. I doubt MAC(OSX?) can use it, besides games under Windows uses specified DLL files that Windows has and other OS's doesn't. But anything is worth to try. Game has been developed back in 2009, there's a lot of OS updates been out maybe somehow it will support.

BONUS:

If you are using Steam, no matter what OS it is (Windows/macOS/Linux) you will still be able to play with each other, since Steam is a PC software.
