Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition keeps on crashing! PLEASE HELP!!!

My friend just brought me Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition so we could play together but unfortunately, the game kept on crashing for me. It started with crashing on startup. I installed Games for Windows Live and ran it in the background. It downloaded all the required stuff to run the game and to no avail. I tried looking up the solution online and most articles don't have the solution until I found one that did have a fix that actually worked.

I ran it with GFWL and it FINALLY started fine! However, once I start playing and reached the area where I was about to fight the Ganados/Majinis, the game stops responding and crashes. I can't even go into system settings to lower the graphics settings! Nothing!!! And I can't stay in the editing menu for too long because it just crashes again!

My Specs are:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Intel Pentium CPU G4400 @ 3.30GHz
4.00GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

Please help! I don't want to have my friend have wasted money for me and I really do love Resident Evil! We both really wanted to play co-op together. I've tried so many things but it always ends the same! I verified the game's cache and still got nothing. I can just never catch a break with these!

I think maybe maluc's patch fixes GFWL (Gaming For Windows Live or something whatever) issues and some other things. Look for a Steam guide by RICK, I think it lists a link for the maluc patch.

Restarting my computer helped me, but I'm on Win10. I don't think Win7 is so finicky. You could try it.

Apart from that, if you're running a load of other applications maybe try shutting them down. I don't know what's on your computer, but if you're really running a chunk of other stuff that *might* be it.

For the rest - I mean that's really weird. If you get into the game, the opening area has a lot of polygons or whatever what with the starting villagers walking around and kicking the sack. Then there's cutscenes before and after. And your system looks like it can run the game. So the game just suddenly won't run when you're about to fight majinis? Like where specifically? You just went through a partner door and one Majini rushed at Chris? You hopped out the window and went into the alley and there was a cutscene where Majini are coming over fences? Did you see that cutscene?

Anyways - apart from maluc patch and maybe restarting, I have no other info. RE5 crashes for me occasionally too. If you've managed to get at least some way into the game, though, probably you'll be able to figure something out eventually.

Nope, still nothing!!! Please help!!! I restarted, used the maluc patch but I'm right back where I started! And it's around that area with the Majini usually after the first Majin charged at Chris.
