Thread for sharing worst Sheva's Bad AI experiences

I just beat the garbage turret boss with less cool than in RE4 el gigante and got to the most collar tuggingly questionably racist part of any video game that would get the nintendo seal of approval in the 21st century, right? so far she's been okay, actually surprising me with how well she does compared to how i heard she was. my only problem is i'm literally giving her every single f*cking handgun bullet in the game and she's still blowing through her ammo at an alarming rate because i guess she doesn't know how to use melee attacks. but that's okay, because she does follow-up melees and saves me from grabs well enough, and having an extra 9 slots is great because as we all know RE4 without the attache case would have been a steaming pile of sh*t such as this game, a third person action shooter game with a survival horror inventory. without further throwing this game under the bus, I encountered an absolutely loathsome encounter.

I got the shaman slate, and everybody spawned in behind us. I figure okay, no big deal, if things get hairy i'll just run back to the boat. Everything was going swimmingly until That One Plaga popped out. Sheva dumps her ENTIRE SUPPLY OF AMMO into it while I was frantically trying to keep her, you know, not dead from the dozen other guys she should have been focusing on. I'd have given rifle support from atop the loft but alas Chris is Too Strong And Muscular to be tossed up there, unlike Tiny Waif Pixie Girl Sheva, so we were down in the thick of it. She goes down to orange, I'm like, okay I'm coming to heal you with the solitary green herb. Then I get grabbed. And what does Sheva do? She literally runs away from me and uses the R+G herb that I forgot I had her carry so I could hold the RPG. Then I get stabbed from behind, getting to orange. So I do a quick turn to get away and eat an egg but then I get chomped on. Sheva decides to revive me and be useful for once in her godd*mn life, and I barely manage to scrape through the encounter in the dying status. Sheva was fine. I reloaded the encounter and just ran past everybody because if this game is going to have crappy coding, I'm cheesing it to death.

"Why not just play online with a player partner?" Because it's 2019, humans are a different breed of terrible, and I should not have to be forced to play online just to have a positive experience. Also because Sheva's Bad AI stories never fail to amuse me. Leave yours in the comments!

edit- A SECOND ONE! So I gave her the stun baton. And she's using it correctly! So when I get past the terrible part with the double doc salvador tribal africa edition (really not that bad, just let them kill the mooks, group them up, and then use the free rocket, no big deal) and into the Execution Ground, I start doing sniper overwatch. Eventually some of the baddies come to me and I worry a little but Sheva kicks their @$$es so I figure we're a-okay. So I'm scoping out the area, and see an archer. I line up my shot, then get stabbed from the left. In the moment I'm like "bro come on Sheva pay attention" and aim again. Then I get stabbed again. I wonder wtf is happening so I turn to look and she's running up to him, readying the baton, and just standing there. She gets stabbed. Lather rinse repeat twice and she's still not attacking. Upon which I just exit the game because IT'S LITERALLY SO BAD. I WANT THE $5 I SPENT ON IT BACK.

Use online coop sit in chapter and wait or join other people, easy as that. I beated the game on pro with bot so nothing is impossible. Farm ammo in easy chapter if u have ammo problem.

Use online coop sit in chapter and wait or join other people, easy as that. I beated the game on pro with bot so nothing is impossible. Farm ammo in easy chapter if u have ammo problem.

I mean I appreciate that but I want to beat RE5 in a solo legit run without farming ammo in early chapters to be able to say that I can do it. I can run RE4 flawlessly on new game (well sometimes I'll get hit because of frame drops because my computer sucks but I'll never die, and the game chokes you with healing items, ammunition, and grenades even on professional) and I figured hey it can't be that bad BUT IT IS so now I'm ramming my head into it with the same level of fierce determination I'm bringing to beating Scholar of the First Sin, which is an equally mind numbingly terrible and badly designed experience but also has cool parts that make it at least somewhat redeemable. I'm purposefully not playing online because I have terrible bandwidth, a problem with being stingy about the guns and ammo ["Here Sheva, take all the handgun ammo, the crappy machine gun, and the bolt action rifle, and also carry the grenades until I need them. Oh yeah and here's an egg in case you get in trouble. Wait Sheva you're in trouble, eat the egg. Oh wait you're too stupid to eat the egg. Oh good you're dead, time to restart the level. Thanks for nothing, lazy dev team."], and as I said before, I adamantly refuse to be shoehorned into doing something a certain way just to be able to play a game.

I don't even mind her being all up in my business. I like her character design, and she has some very nice assets to her model. IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN :P
