I would say it depends on your preference, as they all have their own selling point. The Hydra has the best spread, the Jailbreaker is the fastest to use, the M3 (my personal choice) is the most powerful, and the Ithaca has (I think) the largest capacity when maxed.

The Hydra has theh highest damage when upgraded, but not the best range, actually.

That said, my vote is the M3. Jailbreakers hip-fire aim and massive damage drop off makes it mediocre to me, Ithica saves you some inventory ammo-wise, but it's damage is so low...

I suppose you're technically correct, as the Hydra's 550 firepower (as opposed to the M3's 900 firepower) multiplies on a full spread hit.

It can do less damage than the M3, depending on your aim and distance. Especially since there are a lot of RESI players that use shotguns for long-range assault.

the arguments are already said, my favorite is without doubt the M3, and it would be a good start for every new player, as it s easier to obtain than Hydra

So its depending the personal choice. My personal choice is the riot gun until i obtain the striker in later chapter
