Play the game again...
Or is the game that bad?
in my case is not that the game is bad or what, but for me is too much work to play all the game again just to end in the last point i was...
I totally understand you Mito Kaminski, i played this game on ps3 a few years ago, with almost every single trophy (achievement), and if i had a way to use the savegame from ps3, i would also like to use it, so yes i understand you. (in my case i started it again and im doing all the achievements again on steam, because i really like the game)
Its not the game is bad, but we played the game once, so its normal that we want to restart the game with the exactly same stuff we had before.
I donthave a solution for your problem, i just wanted to share my support.
I will search on google/res websites a bit, and i will share here if i find anything.
I dont think CAPCOM will do anything to help, probably they will say they cant do anything, but, good luck anyway, i hope you can find a way to get your save back.
Thanks! Even I don't think CAPCOM will help me with anything but worth a try.
I contact the support of Steam and CAPCOM just in case to solve my problem but if i can't get my saved games from my Xbox (Microsoft Live) i'll have to play the game all over again but that's ok for me.
I appreciate your support! thank you!
I make the ticket on the option "i have a question about this purchase" and i send the print of the purchase and the print of my steam not showing the option to see the cd key.
I hope you guys get your CD-Key too that way! thanks for the ones who support me and help me find a solution!
"Thank you for contacting us at Capcom Support.
The Game Team at Resident Evil 5 have let us know that it should be enough just to install the latest version of Games For Windows Live to import your original save files, so perhaps the following will help:
Please try the following:
1. Uninstall “Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable” AND “Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace”
2. Reboot Computer (it is very important to restart your system at this point)
3. Download GFWL here:http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient
4. Right click the GFWL installer, go to properties and change its compatibility to “Windows 7”. Save and exit.
5. Right click the installer, and choose “Run as administrator”
6. After it’s installed, run try importing your Resident Evil 5 files again."
I will try it tommorow.
(SOLVED)
So, for me ended up on the same solution, first i contact the Steam support and after all the chat that even i trying to verify the game files it not show me the CD-Key, so then Steam provided the CD-Key of the game.
After that, today, i received an answer of CAPCOM, who answer me giving the same CD-Key that Steam had given to me:
"Hello Victor,
Thanks for contacting Capcom Customer Support. Sorry to hear about your missing Games for Windows Live (GFWL) key for Resident Evil 5.
After working with Steam Support, we would like to give you the GFWL key that is tied to your account:
(NOTHING TO SEE HERE)
Please store this key in a safe place and do not share this key. We appreciate your patience and support.
Best Regards,
CAPCOM USA Customer Support"
With the provided CD-Key i was able to download my GFWL profile.
yeah that happend to me too, i think that happend because last time i play the game was 2009, but thats ok for me, at least i have the CD-Key of the game now and my GFWL profile on the game.
I just emailed Capcom via the support@capcom.com address the RE5 page provides. Is there anything else I should do or should I just wait for them to get back in contact with me. Also, how did you prove your purchase?
