The least passy team is Dark Elves, with no dedicated throwers. They're still leaps and bounds above anything AG3. Wood elves excel at knocking the ball loose on defense and running in a TD before their opponent even knows what's happening. High Elves and Pro Elves are about equal in the pass department, with one focusing on the throw and the other on having catchers available at all times.
The dead elves. Of whatever race.
Had to be said.
Meh, orc think no elf team iz good.
Not really. They do well against Amazons because Zons rely on their Dodge skill to dodge, whereas elves are all AG4 and thus make a regular dodge on 2+. That`s a very safe roll, so the only real advantage Dorfs have are all the players with Block... which isn`t an issue by middling TVs anymore.
1.) Dodge is still a skill developed elf teams tend to rely on for defensive purposes (protecting them from Defender Stumbles results). Tackle on all blockers (and most other players, eventually) is still a big factor.
2.) All teams interested in bashing need Block on all their players, and Tackle on at least some. Only after that can they consider other skills. Dwarves start with those two. An elf lino starts with no skills but good stats, by level 3 they can have Block and Dodge, making them quite versatile. But a dwarf blocker will, at that point, have Block, Tackle, Guard and Mighty Blow. Other teams' bashers don't get that mix untl level 4+, if they can ever achieve it. And any elf they can catch is in for a world of hurt. Guard means almost always hitting at least 2dbs, Block and Tackle combine to a 50% knockdown chance per die (or 33% if the target has block). Mighty Blow combined with elves' already lackluster AVs means a rate of attrition that an elf team just can't afford in the long run.
Against dwarves, elf team can either go for quick scores (and likely get 2:1'd) or play a slow delaying action (the classic elf-net) and risk coming out permanently crippled. Not a nice matchup by any stretch of the imagination, and it isn't until far higher TVs that other bash teams start to eclipse the threat posed by dorfs.
You can make the skill argument for pretty much every race though, it`s just that you can make it for TV 1000 dorfs. And it`s not like every dwarf has tackle right from the start either.
And what`s this about lackluster AV on elves ? Pro elves and Wood elves, sure, but Dark elves have a good number of AV 8 players available and High elves are all AV 8 I believe.
