Chaos. Easy access to the Claw-Mighty-Blow-Piling-On combo makes them absolutely brutal team destroyers if that's how your opponent wants to play. They won't win many matches against agility or speed teams that way, but they can hurt those teams so badly that they'll need 5-6 perfect matches to recover after that. Anything else and it's just a matter of winning or losing the match at hand. Against a destroyer-build Chaos team, you run a very solid risk of having your team permanently crippled.

I play wood elves and like to play against other elves or skaven. Matches where both opponents try risky moves, pass a lot and many touchdowns are the result. Chaos teams are probably my least favourite opponents. I really hate it when my opponent builds a cage with his whole team around the ball carrier as soon as he's in possession, moves very slowly towards my end zone and hopes to score a touchdown in the last round to win 1:0.

the cage is a standard tactic for chaos teams and the like .im not a big lover of the slow haul and win one nil.when playing against high agility teams they can prance by your defences for an easy score so many times games end one all.i prefer trying to stomp my opponents as much as possible do as much damage as i can first half so by second half they dont have a team to waltz round my players.best ever match was against halflings where i think there were 3 halfling left and one treeman by end of match 4 kills and and 7 hurt.

I dislike playing against anything that isn`t elves. Because then I cannot punch elves, and the only reason I play Dark Elves is so that there is a maximum density of elves being punched.

lol hghwolf nice answer.

In actuality I`ve really come to dislike playing against Khemri teams. Sure they can`t usually play ball very well but getting through those 4 tomb guardians is quite difficult.

with any team who has a line up with hard hitting players , i try to gang up on them as soon as i can.keeping them away from contact is possible but dificult if you have a non agility team.and of course the good old foul foul foul tactic always good to get rid of them.as you usualy play dark elves you should be able to out manouver them easily.

depends which of my teams I'm playing, but Chaos Dwarf teams are tough buggers to get the ball back from, and they can really do some damage to your team.

Undead, they're just strong and agile. Second is dwarves because they never die. Followed by.. hmm, high elves probably. Any team that can't be punched by my norsemen is a pain.
currymuncher Jan 23, 2013 @ 10:34am
lol jensan.bet there s a few teams sick of the frenzy skills of the norsemen.a team that if played right can push your plyers right of the pitch.
MattStriker Jan 23, 2013 @ 12:22pm
And there is absolutely nothing that can't be punched by the norse. If you're failing to punch, you're not using enough norsemen. Norse will punch the chaos gods themselves if there's beer in it.
MK Black Jan 23, 2013 @ 1:20pm
Well I just got screwed over by the worst double white dice roll EVER and I think I'm done with the norse. Gonna try me some high elves soon, they seem good in a fight and also scoring, pretty much perfect.

High Elves are reasonably capable at standing up to other players due to a high AV by elven standards. They should not go toe-to-toe with a real basher team. They're simply far too expensive for that kind of maneuver. Remember, AV8 is only average. There's teams out there that laugh at average armor as they stomp it into the mud (anything with easy access to Mighty Blow, and heaven help you if you go up against a Claw/Mighty Blow combo).

i am doing good with an undead team atm.even tried a goblin team and omg its funny as hell, i would advise everyone to play a gobbo team just for the laughs.

I was under the impression that all Claw does is have the player treat any AV above 8 as 8. Useful against AV 9+ targets but useless against anything else...

Mighty blow is awesome though. I managed to send most of a Khorne team to the dugout, half of them badly injured, a STR-1 on the Bloodthirster, two dead Heralds abd the rest knocked out.

Khorne Daemons are surprisingly fragile. I wonder why Jim and Bob are so afraid of them...
