This game cheats like crazy when playing against AI.
Like in my case, getting the ball out of the hands of the opponent in the end zone where I could score a touchdown easily. I was using an amazon player with 3 agility and sure hands and she fumbled the pick up with critical failures over the three turns she had a chance. That's six attempts, all rolls of ones. After those the game ended 1 to 1.

Not the only incident of this I've had either. Seems like anytime I'm in a key moment, where I stood a solid chance to taking the go ahead score, something stupidly impossible happens to prevent it.

It's a fun game, but good god... The cheating in this game is worse than in Madden! Either that, or my luck sucks beyond belief and I should never touch dice ever again in my life. LOL

Yes, if you can't handle variance you have to stay away from dice/poker, well any form of gambling as a matter of fact.

I can handle that, Fen. Haha. But man... I'm telling you. I've never seen this many ones in any form of dice related game play. I was playing a game again earlier and I counted twenty of them. I must just have some really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck.

i have been told its the same as online poker as in the sheer amount of dice being rolled/cards shown means that the improbable seems to happen all the while, however this is no comfort when that simple dice roll screws you at the momment of glory!

If it is any consolation ( I doubt it but hey) I have seen this happen with real dice, in blood bowl. It seems to bring out bad luck in people.

Yes, it's a matter of statistics. 20 6's has a pretty low chance of happening. but, if you're thorwing 200 dice a game, and playing 10 games a day, it's going to happen after a while. Then again, i've seen the computer botch a pass with an elf sith pass, strong arm and nerves of steel, twice in a row, with rerolls... and with natural 1's.

Hm I forgot the link but I remeber a blog or forum post where someone took a look at the code and proved that dice rolls are indeed random, no "cheating" involved.

Cool. If you come cross it, It'd be an interesting read. Just confirms my luck is horrible LOL.

I remember there was a line in script that clearly shows that AI cheats.

It sure is "fair" when 75% of my rolls are 1's.
It's random. It's always random. Just because unlikely things happen when you don't want them does not mean it is cheating. Play multiplayer if you don't trust the machine, and then see how pathetic the AI is.

The game does not cheat. These threads pop up fairly frequently from newer players who don't understand the brutality of statistics. It's called 'Perception Bias,' you see all of the 3+ rolls in a row that you make as ok because they are 'supposed' to happen, but when you fail a 2+ or something you think the game cheated you. I've tracked the dice myself, they come out to a decently random distribution. That's not to say you won't have bad games where the dice rolled in the other player's favor. Or even several games like that. But in the long run, the dice rolls will even out.
Dode Sep 15, 2013 @ 10:57pm
What people fail to understand is that the distribution is even only over very long sequences. It's just as likely to get a sequence of 1s as it is any other specific sequence which appears random. http://www.random.org/analysis/dilbert.jpg

And when people necro 9month dead threads.
Random luck is random, you need to try to play the odds. So far i havent lost a game vs AI.

I played yatzy one time and 3 times in a row i got 6 fives... the odds for it no idea... but never done it again...
