Do Focus Home Interactive hold a license for all Games Workshop specialist games, or only the ones in the Warhammer Fantasy universe?
Because I'm quite annoyed nobody has done a Necromunda game yet (the most excellent specialist game)

And also Battlefleet Gothic, as long as it includes all the races including Tau and Necrons (Forge World)

Both of the above are Warhammer 40,000 universe games.

So are Focus not authorized by GW to make a game set in the Warhammer: 40,000 universe, or do they simply just prioritize in a strange way?

Maybe that studio who are making Space Hulk (bleh) have the license for the 40K specialist games? That would be BAD.

PS: Not that I'm complaining, Mordheim is great but not even Warhammer can get me past my hatred of 'false football'

Warhammer total war is Sega/Creative assembly so Id say no, they dont have exculsive rights.

BFG is being made by Focus, https://www.facebook.com/BattlefleetGothicGame

Focus are a publisher, not a developer. Cyanide are developing BB2, Rogue Factor are developing Mordheim and BFG is Tindalos iirc, all of which are being published by Focus. WH40K Eternal Crusade is being published by Behaviour Digital and developed by Behaviour Interactive. Vermintide is being published and developed by Fatshark.

The list is far from exhaustive, but you get the point.

And? I knew all that. Publishers usually acquire licenses, not developers, which is why I specifically asked about Focus.

Warhammer is the main game, but both Blood Bowl and Mordheim fall under Games Workshop's "Specialist Games" range nonmecleature. While Warhammer itself is not a specialist game.

So one studio could have all the rights for Warhammer games, but not the rights for specialist games within the Warhammer universe, and vice versa. Same for Warhammer 40,000 games, and specialist games set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Given the history between Cyanide and GW I figured it was relevant. No need to be a ♥♥♥♥ about it.
