Medusa laser on non-missile targets

Has anyone gotten shot at by a medusa laser? Does it actually do any kind of damage? Not looking to shoot down someone with it, but was wondering if it can damage enough to affect flight behaviour

You can shoot down planes with it but you must be very close, and you need to get lucky.

Ive been killed by it flying a darkreach.

You can blast ground targets with the laser. Those power pylons and windmills that keep getting in the way melt nicely. I've also demolished a radar station (in free flight), that takes a couple of passes.

The laser has low power compared to munitions, but it is a high-powered laser! You have unlimited ammo as long as the jenny is functional, and you don't have to lead your target at all. It's point and kill technology.

I have killed a revoker in the medusa once, i got lucky and basically burnt the revokers engine out
