So it seems altitude plays a big part in evading SARH missiles, but that wasn't mentioned at all in the tutorial
I think anyway..
A tactic I use is the hug the terrain and stay out of sight of radar, then pop-up when ready to strike. If I'm a bomber, I will position for a good path for my missiles - so they don't clumsily smash into the side of a mountain or tall hill). I'll use my own bomber as a DECOY against the enemy radar, make myself a juicy target, even going high up to ensure I'm visible. This way, I'm baiting the enemy SAMs to focus on me while my cruise missiles close the distance. When they fire their long-range ones, I'll use the jammer to evade them. I've gotten pretty good at too!
This increases the survivability of my cruise missiles, so when enemy air defenses finally realize "INCOMING!" they have a short-time to respond and my volleys sustain tolerable losses to still inflict devastating damage....
ALSO, I tend to target those very air defense units FIRST, rather than try and hit buildings. Once the air defenses are down, there are even less left to work with to try and stop the volleys from my next run. This way, I don't have to worry about using my jammer or flares as much.
