It stands for No Escape Zone, the missile is going to be too fast to outrun/turn when launched within that range. Depends on altitude, speed and the missile type, updated live in the HUD.

It displays the max range, which can change based on the speed and altitude of the aircraft launching it (ie fly higher + faster, glide bombs fall further). The NEZ is the No Escape Zone, which is the range at which a target cannot evade a missile by fleeing or maneuvering--in other words, it is the calculated distance from which the missile is fast, maneuverable, and 'smart' enough to hit the target no matter how it moves.

I'm not sure how useful NEZ is for Nuclear Option in practice, since the vast majority of missed launches are defeated through IR flares, breaking contact behind terrain, or CIWS / SAM defenses.

Id assume this also doesn't take jamming into account. Since you can Jam and G-pull most radar based missiles.

yeah its not counting countermeasures or evasive maneuvers. all it means is that the missile has a very high kill propability in a cone in front of the plane, if a target is in that cone you see it in the ui
