Is Trade broken in this game???

So, while trying to figure out how to trade all my gold bars and coins in this game, i was watching a video on Youtube that said a trade ship would arrive at my dock at my base once I hit level 30....I am now level 32 and I have not seen this trade ship appear. How do i trade, sell my coins and bars or other items????????

hey mate, you need to clear the trade blockade ship ... I was L 28 when I did it and the trade ship still came

yup, defeat the pirate ship nearby, and a trader will show up. Once it does, he will show up near that dock on dead mans island. Then the fun begins :)

Trader doesnt spawn with level, you have to defeat a pirate ship that blocks the trade.
You will see it on the compass or just bobbing nearby. Its a big bad pirate ship.
Take a small warboat and use poison cannonballs to shoot at it. Keep your distance further away.

Before I had read all your responses, I figure it out lol!! Just as you said, you have to defeat the blockade ship then the trader ship shows up lol! I am set up on Dead Mans Island and had built my house and pier on the other side of the island away from that doc that was already there (it has the trader stalls on it). Thats where the trader ship showed up after I defeated the blockade ship. I only wish the trader ship would show up or doc at your own pir though to make it easier. Does anyone know if you have to build a special doc/ pier to get the trader to come to your personal pier? Thanks for the responses everyone, I am learning something new everytime I play, which is why I love this game, there is always something new!
