I guess com2us weren't sold on the NFTs either
To be honest, WoW's ability to sell game time for gold is fundamentally the same concept the NFT guys are going for, except it's in a currency (USD) that isn't prone to market collapses. Instead of spending $15 to buy 1 XYZ NFT to trade for 1000 game currency, you could just allow people to buy 1000 game currency for $15 and not have to worry about the intermediate currency suddenly lost all its value and bring down the system because you have no idea how crypto actually works.
I have played on the other games that Com2US pushes NFT. They're horrible games even if there was no NFT. In fact having NFT sort of made the game a bit better because the NFT lost like 90% of its value and at a 90% discount it ends up being a better deal than the typical P2W mobile deal. Though if you're someone who bought stuff when the game launched that'd totally suck.
