failed to update gameguard(380)

when ever i want to open the game it says failes to update gameguard and then hive service is not available

Bumping this up.
Has anyone found a fix for this error. I'm playing on the Steam Deck and it's been working fine for me with no issues, until today. All of a sudden when I try to start the game it tells me "Failed to update GameGuard (380)"

The game works fine on my PC, just can't play it on my Steam Deck anymore.

So I was able to get the game working again. This is for the Steam Deck, not Windows.

After I launch the game, it gives the error "Failed to update GameGuard.(380)" then opens a web browser to nProtect's website with FAQs on GameGuard.

On the Deck, I hit the option to go back (bottom right of screen), and I see the error message saying it failed with the option to hit OK. I hit OK then another messages comes up that asks if I want to exit the game. The only options are to Exit or Cancel.

This time I choose to cancel, and low and behold, the game started. The game updated and I was able to log into my account and play.
Note: I quite the game and re-launched it to see if it would work as normal but I got the gameguard error again. I followed the steps above to log into it one more. So, it seems I will have to do this every time I play the game, a minor inconvenience however.
