They make a fair point though. I don't want the P2W model reigning supreme on PC games. It's a horrible model.

That still doesn't make it okay. Their in game prices are ridiculous and drop rates are awful. i've been playing SW on my phone/tablet for 8 years now and realize that mobile is how they're going but I don't have to like it and gamers shouldn't like it either. Just my two cents.
I like Chronicles so far, except, of course, for the drop rates but it's fun. I'm also glad it's not on bluestacks, that would crash my pc every time even though I have a good one. LOL I'm not trying to be nasty or anything just saying I wish it were not so monetized but it is what it is I guess. LOL 1999? Now that was a great era for gaming. :)
I get that people don't like Mobile games, but to me personally, a video game is a video game regardless of the platform it's on, and there are PLENTY of really trashy PC games on steam; so yeah....
The platform shouldn't matter, it's the quality of the game that does; perhaps this is just a case of people never happening onto a actual good Mobile game, and they do exist- i'm not saying Summoner War: Chronicles is one of those games, though it's better then most(I'd personally rather play this then Genshin nickel-and-dime Impact, i'm just saying don't judge a game just because of it's platform, judge the game.
Although PC gamers do this 'superior race' issue, this game is a good example of why PC gamers should feel superior. It's basically a MMORPG wannabe, but the PC version doesn't have an updated control/UI for the PC. It's not rocket science that trying to execute complicated movement or targeting ability with essentially one button is not going to work very well. Even if you throw out the obviously outrageous 'buy this for $99' stuff that's plastered all over, it's still just an inferior MMORPG compared to a average F2P MMORPG on Steam, and definitely far inferior to the industry leaders of the genre.
BTW you can find plenty of mobile ports on Steam that's solidly in the 'mostly positive' range that are perfectly respectable games. SW: Chronicle strikes me as one of the many mobile games that starts off bad, whether intended or by accident, and expects you to pay $200 or so to overcome the game's shortcoming. After all, the clunky controls can easily be overcome if you got $200 worth of power on your side, and maybe the game is actually okay at that point. But the question is why would you want to spend that much money just in case the game turns out okay? There are still games, even mobile games, that doesn't purposely start out with a bad game and hope you'll pay up to upgrade it to a normal game.
If I had been in their position, poured millions of dollars into what's basically World of Warcraft to try and give my existing Warcraft 3 players a brand new game to explore, only to find out most of them can't even run the game, I'd rush out a Steam port too. Sure a lot of non-fans on Steam probably would... make threads like these, but do I need to care? I'd just given the people who actually want to play it a way to play it
I hate to use this example, but it's the same reason Cyberpunk 2077 rushed out the PS4 port too. It was a lot of preorders they had to honor, and they didn't feel like telling them "just buy a PS5 or a new gaming PC" was an acceptable thing to do
It doesn't make it okay and it's a horrible game...that you've played for 8 years. haha
