These restrictions make the game more linear than one might like.

The combat system is no less engaging: you can knock enemies off their feet, throw heavy objects at them, or use firearms. Unfortunately, Nathan's arsenal depletes quickly, and you have to rely on your bionic arm. Particularly memorable are the moments when you need to jump from one flying mine to another or deal with armored enemies using all your agility and wit.

Visually, the game is attractive, especially the open spaces of the ruined metropolis. However, the graphics lose their charm in enclosed spaces. The audio design leaves much to be desired: the weapon sounds resemble plastic toys, and the music quickly becomes annoying. Unfortunately, the plot is also lacking in originality. Nathan Spencer's story, a soldier unjustly imprisoned and suddenly released for another mission, develops weakly and predictably.

Despite all its flaws, "Bionic Commando" delivers unforgettable moments. The feeling of flight as you perform tricks to avoid sniper fire or fight through hordes of enemies is genuinely exhilarating. It's especially impressive when you skillfully handle enemies using all the capabilities of your mechanical arm.

"Bionic Commando" is a game built around a single idea, but executed with heart and attention to detail. Its short length is compensated by intense gameplay, and the high difficulty level offers a real challenge. I wish so badly that this game was better, I really do. I like the concept, but it just doesn't work. It feels like a really janky 3rd person shooter with terrible Spider-Man swinging strapped on. The screenshots are misleading: the visuals really don't hold up, even for the time. The bosses are absolutely God awful. The best thing I can say about this game is that there is an Easter egg where a character will tell you to #$^@ a giant worm robot.
