Basic walkthrough for 0.3.9
Hey all,

This is my attempt at a very basic walkthrough for v0.3.9, for those who cannot find a path, or just wish to check if they missed something. Spoilers ahead of course. If I missed some things, feel free to correct me and I'll update.

You are faced with several decisions through the game. Most don't have an impact on the greater plot (they unlock a scene, add or eliminate a character), however, there are some choices that shape the future of Sarah.

The first major choice comes when Kate visits Sarah in her bedroom after the coronation ceremony, and tells that she should come with her to Lethram, because the country is in danger and will be invaded by enemies. Refuse or accept this.


THE ROYALTY PATHS

Refuse Kate's offer and stay in Rosanna with your brother and the royal court. At the council meetings, just select one of the options "Take the menace seriously", "Reinforce the walls", or "Recall all armies to protect the capital". Selecting any (or more) of these will result in the enemy being defeated, and Sarah remaining a royal of the country.


A1. MARRIAGE PATH - incomplete

Even though you have defeated the enemy, the war has taken a toll on the country. The noble families have great losses and they accuse the ruling royals of abandoning them. The discontent can be quelled if Sarah marries Marion, the offspring of a poweful noble house. To do this, choose "Speak privately to Marion" after the battle and later accept the marriage proposal. It is a marriage of convenience, they don't love each other, though their relation can improve (or deteriorate) based on Sarah's choices (agree or disagree with Marion at the council meeting). The game ends here for now.


A2. QUEEN / REGENT PATH - complete

In the A1 path, refuse Marion's proposal. Then Sarah will have the option to marry Varga, but that won't have major effect on the subsequent events (except unlocking some sexy scenes). The offended Marion will lead an uprising, backed by several noble families who hold a lot of power in the country, and they also capture Thomas, Sarah's brother. Sarah (and Varga, if they are married) attempts to keep the country together, and in the end the loyalists will lay siege to Marion's castle and conquer it. Marion has Thomas as hostage, and his survival depends on Sarah's choices (reason with Marion or threaten him). If Thomas survives, Sarah will be regent; else she will be queen of the country.


THE SLAVE PATHS

Refuse Kate's offer and stay in Rosanna with your brother and the royal court, but at the council meetings, don't take the menace seriously, don't reinforce the walls, and don't recall armies. The country will be defeated by the Desert Tribes, the capital is sacked, and Sarah is taken to Al'Gahaem as a slave. The sweet princess will be broken and humiliated in many ways. A sexy particularity of these paths is that Sarah is always naked, including outdoors (e.g. when going to the market), as the country's laws prescribe this for slaves.


B1. HAREM GIRL PATH - incomplete

At Al'Gahaem, Sarah will be brought to the Khan, the leader of the desert tribes. The Khan asks about the colour of the gemstone in his ring; if Sarah tells the truth and says it is red, the Khan will accept her in his harem. She will lead a peaceful and luxurious life, wandering around the compound, having fun with the other maidens, having sex with the Khan, and even learning in a library. The game ends here for now.


B2. JAIR PATH - incomplete

In the B1 path, if you say the gemstone is black, but spared the foreign emissary at the beginning of the game, Sarah will be the slave of that emissary, Jair. He is an influential and civilized man, treats Sarah as a guest instead as a slave, tries to protect her, and doesn't require sex from her (it's actually Sarah who will seduce Jair). The game ends here for now.


B3. SEX SLAVE PATH - complete

In the B1 path, if you say the gemstone is black, and killed the foreign emissary in the beginning, Sarah will be sold at the slave market. If she chooses to sing, she gets the attention of an old soldier (regardless of their previous interactions in the desert camp) who will buy Sarah. This is probably the steamiest and most humiliating path, Sarah is trained and used as a sex slave, she is branded, and the old soldier - who has an exceptional stamina - keeps exploiting her. Sarah will bear him children and raise a family. When the old man dies, she (and the man's other concubine) will be freed and will inherit the house, and live there until dying of old age.


B4. ESCAPE PATH - missing

In the B3 path, after living with the old soldier for some weeks, Sarah has the option to escape by hiding in a cart at the market. This part is not yet ready, and the game will end instantly.


B5. EMANCIPATION PATH - complete

In the B3 path, if Sarah didn't get the old soldier's attention, she is taken to a communal slave tent and she is forced to work in the city. After a time, a young and gentle soldier falls in love with her, emancipates her, and takes her as wife. They will get married and live a fairy-tale life, deeply in love with each other and raising a family.


THE ADVENTURING PATHS

Accept Kate's offer, and she will take Sarah to the overseas city of Lethram, where she can take her future in her own hands. The country of Rosanna will fall to the enemy and will cease to exist. In Lethram, Kate will introduce Sarah to the mercenary order where she serves. After a time, Sarah must make a choice whether to join the mercenaries or not.


C1. WARRIOR PATH - incomplete

Join the mercenaries and start the training. You will need to choose a trainer; you can choose Kate, two male friends, or an orc warrior. Sarah will learn to fight, and she can also get close to her trainer(s). Regardless of the choices, she will pass the exam.

This will set you on the path of the warrior, with all the horrors of war and destruction, and I'd say this is the most epic and consistent path. Sarah will fight in battles, rise in ranks, participate in the siege of Bagrad, save a princess (and fall for her), do heroic deeds, travel through the desert, and go to Nauyziri to meet an otherworldly spirit who will explain about her destiny. In the end, she will unite the mercenaries under her command and prepares to raise an army to take back her homeland. The game ends here for now.

Note that keeping / giving up the red crystal in the vault, or accepting / rejecting the spirit in the underworld have no effect on the plot.


C2. ADVENTURER PATH - complete

Only a very short spinoff of the C1 path, I wish they developed it further. When training as a mercenary, choose the orc warrior as a trainer. They will fall in love, and at the end of the training Sarah will have the choice to run away with him and live the life of adventurers.


D1. MAGE APPRENTICE PATH - incomplete

Don't join the mercenaries, and while wandering around the city, Sarah will be assaulted by a brigand. If you select "Scream", a passerby will come to her help. It turns out that he is a powerful wizard, he will make Sarah his apprentice, and train her.

This is also one of the most epic paths, though not as consistent as the Warrior. Sarah will participate in the siege of Bagrad on the other side of the barricades, fighting against her former mercenary friends. After this mission, the wizard will decide to send her to a mage citadel, but Sarah has the option to prevent this by killing him with help from an ancient spirit (even if she refused the spirit's friendship in the beginning). After that, she will live in the wizard's house and spend time studying, relaxing, and exploring. She will also get to Nauyziri and meet the otherworldly spirit from the warrior path. Then she gets a new mage mentor, Metin, and can choose a field to study (Botany, Demonology etc) but apart from unlocking some sexy scenes (like tentacle sex with a plant), there's not much point in that. Later she goes to Varany, an ancient ruined city, through a portal in the mage house, and explores it together with other adventurers.

There are some choices that add significant subplots (with lots of sex and romance) to the story, but have no effect on the greater plot:
- if Sarah saves Samayra during the Bagrad siege, she will live with her in the mage's house. They fall in love, make love lots of times, and later they will go adventuring together
- Sarah has the option to reconnect with Alaric, the brigand who assaulted her in the beginning (select "Push the matter", then help / agree with him). They will meet several times to have sex, and even a romance unfolds between them.


D2. MAGE UNIVERSITY PATH - missing

In the D1 path, when the wizard decides to send Sarah to a mage citadel, she should submit and go. This part is not yet ready, and the game will end instantly.


D3. GOBLIN SEX SLAVE PATH - complete

In the D1 path, after Metin leaves Sarah and she goes to Varany through a portal, she is attacked by orcs and goblins. If you select "defend against the Orcs", Sarah will be captured by the goblins, kept in a cage and used as a sex slave, supposedly until her death.


E1. CUTPURSE PATH - incomplete

Don't join the mercenaries, and while wandering around the city, Sarah will be assaulted by a brigand. If you select "Do nothing", she will be his mistress, and will help him to steal money from the citizens at the market. The game ends here for now.


E2-3. UNKNOWN LETHRAM PATHS - missing

Don't join the mercenaries, and while wandering around the city, Sarah will be assaulted by a brigand. Select "Run away", then "Explore the city" or "Explore the docks". These parts are not yet ready, and the game will end instantly.


F1. RAHAYAL BY ROAD PATH - incomplete

Don't join the mercenaries, and while wandering around the city, Sarah will be assaulted by a brigand. Select "Run away", then "Leave Lethram". As she starts following the country road, she meets three adventurers and manages to get a ride in their wagon. They travel through a dangerous and lawless region, headed for Rahayal, the empire capital. Sarah can learn more about her companions or even seduce them, and if her relation with Sakar is high enough, he will save her from the soldiers at the guard post. Once you arrive at Rahayal, choose to enter the city. The game ends here for now.


F2. RAHAYAL BY BOAT PATH - merges into F1

This requires you to have sex with the captain on the boat trip to Lethram (choose "I have no money", then let Sarah have sex with the captain - Kate doesn't count). In Lethram, join the mercenaries and select any of the trainers. One day when Sarah walks around the docks she will meet the captain; choose to confront him and keep following him. She will end up as a deck hand on the boat and will travel to Rahayal, where the path merges with F1. The captain will use Sarah as a sex slave and will humiliate her in many ways, similarly as in the B3 path.


F3. SAKAR PATH - missing

In the F1 path, if you got close to Sakar during the travels, you will have the chance to stay and settle down with him once you arrive at Rahayal. This part is not yet ready, and the game will end instantly.


F4. SMALL TOWN PATH - missing

In the F1 path, right at the beginning of the travel, they pass a small town with the sinister name of Gallow's Creek. Choose to stay there. This part is not yet ready, and the game will end instantly.

I think the only path you're missing is the Sailor Path, which branches off of the Warrior Path. You have to have sex with Captain Belmont during the trip to Lethram, either by yourself or with Kate. Then you have to take the Warrior Path, and after you start training (doesn't matter who you pick), you'll end up wandering around town and you'll encounter Belmont. If you choose to give him a piece of your mind, then follow him, then take his bet, you'll end up on the Sailor Path, working as a deck hand (and having a lot of sex with him).

Eventually, you'll end up in Rahayal. You can either choose to enter the city (which seems to merge this path with the Old Road Path), where that path ends for now, or you can choose to stay with Belmont and continue to work on his ship, which for now leads to an error message.

Mind making this a guide at some point? I can see this easily being buried in the forgotten depths of the forums and Guide page is easy access.

Because wow, there's a lot of routes and I'm going to need to keep coming back for reference :j7:

This is a good breakdown of all the endings so far. Speaking of making a guide for this, I was actually considering of making one for this game and/ or a review of which routes I consider the best (including the girlfriend routes for Lily and Kate). I've never done either of them, but I'm excited to try.

There is the combination Mage/Rogue path as well. If you start training as a mage you're eventually given an opportunity to 'bump' into the rogue that cornered you. You can get into a relationship with him and it can run alone or in parallel with Sam and/or Raphazel. So it can get a bit 'busy'.
