I'm guessing you thought I was asking about the game and what it's like; you're spot on. That's not what I was asking about though. =D

I'm asking about a stat that you start accumulating once you hit level 20 and can't level up anymore. It doesn't seem to have any effect on anything.

I agree it's a weird one and I see no effects from it but it is synced with your XP and it's another 'Level'. I dunno if there will be some sort of alternate experience system at some time or if it's just something keeping score of how much you have played.
I asked about it a while ago with no answer.

There is info about cultivation level at the store page in development plan section. Cultivation level perks planned to implement before full release
