What does the potato *actually do* now?

Sure, that's great for like, easter eggs or whatever, but having zero way to unredact it anywhere in game is frustrating and makes it hard to know if its still purely for the rabbit easter egg/achievement or if it has an actual effect now after all the items got reworked.

Well, I heard from someone else it also includes an Easter egg of SWAT now throwing potato grenades. Not aware of any actual benefit of picking it. Haven't tested it out really.

Yep, haven't gotten it in awhile, but it did at some point have this effect.

In addition to the redacted text, the tooltip for Potato has a caption which reads "d2luZG93IGluIGRlc2VydA". That's a Base64 encoded representation of "window in desert".

Don't know if that has any significance or additional meaning, or if it's just cryptic for the sake of it 🤷‍♂️

I never said that know what is potato's other purpose (if there is any). I merely tried to help those who can't stay focused for longer than 2 seconds in order to read the entire original post. What of that I should stop and how does one do that?

Anyone else with an actual answer to the question what the potato actually does?

Not sure why an argument has developed. It's quite simple. The potato does two things: If you go to the desert on the top-right corner of the diamond map, there is a hut with a window. Be near it for a little bit while holding the potato and it summons a jpeg of Sanji the Rabbit (RIP). The potato also turns SWATs grenades into exploding potatoes apparently. I also hear they made a grave for Sanji in the Green Hell map, but I've yet to locate this.

I see this lack of focus problem is quite wide spread, as people keep posting the same thing over and over, despite it already being mentioned in the very beginning of the thread. Also hilarious how those reposts get awards, while OP got nothing
