wierdly you can only even find that after getting an achivement and unlocking it
and it lets you buy 3 of them

It's a place holder item that they haven't weeded out yet, so to speak. :)

I've only gotten 2 of them in a single run. I suspect there will be a 3 potato achievement at some point.

If you get 3 it says "The potato is a lie" at the end of the run but it doesn't unlock anything.

Getting 3 potatoes was a PITA.

I didn't see the end mission text because I kiiiiinda had to end the run myself as I got myself in a state where I was unkillable.

Fun fact, if you play endless for over an hour the counter rolls over.
