How to alien?
Let me get this straight. I need an emp to turn off lights, and then precision spit on any flares, then I can try to do damage? Before they light another flare? Seems not enough energy to do all this, unless I get max cap then I can use it all on one emp and one spit and have nothing left.

Someone told me on my third game that the scream makes them drop items, maybe that should be in the description of the power? Can't scream and turn off the lights though. Seems aliens need to gangbang, but if the humans team up it feels impossible. What is the cap on flares?

I think the big issue here is the lack of alternate vertical movement for the alien between floors. In most areas the alien has to take the stairs and it just seems stupid. The vents should go between floors more often.

No because it would block the basement extraction.

alien is generally an ambusher, unless you have a great advantage you will generally want to attack people as they move between rooms/objectives. the main problem is that gear is insane right now, geared solos require the aliens to team up on them and geared trios are basically unkillable by aliens unless they make a huge mistake.

here's some easy tips for alien:

you can extinguish flares before they can hurt you or be thrown/dropped, listen for the sound and it igniting briefly ; most people have multiple flares so use this to secure a kill after you've stopped someones flare from a little ways away. they won't have time for three.

you can sit in electrical wire for faster energy recharge, will need to stand for the ones coming off the ceiling ; this can be used to abuse mercs if they are too close to them. you can hit an emp and quickly recharge enough energy to have multiple spits or another emp.

there are hit reg issues, I think hitting the enviroment before a person negates your attack. try to fight away from furniture/walls

glowsticks do little enough damage that you can run right through them and get a hit in on whomever is holding them while only taking 25%ish of your health

lights do more damage the closer you are, if mercs are at the edge of a rooms light trying to look into another room it's pretty safe to run by them and get a hit in.

don't be afraid to lure brave people. a large part of my early game kills come from people trying to finish me off with a flare/glowstick. lure them away from the lights and extinguish/hit n run them to death.

start the game off by getting enough energy to spit, and then wait until around 4-5 minutes to get your energy capped/enough for emp. I find this generally coincides with my first death.

When the players have more firepowers, I agree. When you have noobs or players with low level of equipement, aliens have a very decent chance of winning. Out of flares, this is a done deal.

Wtf can confirm that electricity skyrockets nrg regain where I was actually able to emp multiple rooms. Why this isn't in the tutorial is insane.

Yeah that's odd.
