wish Steam would have a thing in its description about this problem before purchase
As you can see, the HiDef profile requires a DirectX 10 (or equivalent) GPU. If a DirectX 9 card supports the features required for the HiDef profile then the game will actually run. Unfortunately it also seems that if a DirectX 10 or 11 card is missing just one of the required features then the game will not run.
I'll mention this to Steam and see if they will add something else to fully explain the system requirements. The requirements wouldn't really fit in the normal "System Requirements" bit that Steam games have but maybe they can add something else.
So... for dummys, does this message being displayed always pass the final verdict or should I still check if it might be a software issue? My graphicscard passes most requirements beside not being DirectX10 capable, did anyone happen to play the game on a geforce go 7600, or can tell for sure that it will not run and thereby end any further attempts to get it running from my side?
