How to stack with swapper?
When dealing with crystals we can't stack them on top.
I heard somewhere that the way to do it would be with swappers.
But how should I do it?

You can add crystals to a shape after the shape's been stacked. Crystals will fill the lowest shape which has holes or pins in it.

What they usually mean by that is, you fully build two halves of the shape separately, with all the required pieces, including crystals. Usually, for combining two halves into a whole shape a stacker is used (one half is dropped into the free space near the other half). But with crystals that's impossible, since dropping breaks them. This is where swappers come to rescue: instead of dropping, they interchange two halves gently.

However, if you are looking for a way to "drop" a crystal on top of something else, this is impossible, with either swappers, or anything else. Crystals require completely different approaches. That's what makes them challenging.

You don't have to drop Crystal on top, in that case use the Crystal machine directly.

To design a machine that deals with Crystals, think like casting metal in the top two layers gaps-pins.

If you make a shape with crystals in 4 layers, here is on method that should deal with everything:

1. Create you shape (max 2 layers) without crystals but instead pins to fill the gaps.
1b. if you need color, you have to do this in two or more steps with a swapper (or any other mean that does not break the crystals) to change the "mold" of your crystal shape for each color. This is the most tricky part and this is where you will need the swapper.
2. Send the shape into the crystal machine.
3. Repeat for the following 3 and 4 layers.
