Stuck on the Crystal with a pin on top then a shape

I have tried everything I can think of to do this. If I put double pins on a shape then use the crystal machine, it puts double layers of crystals. If try to pin a crystal it breaks. Stuck on this one.

You can make a crystal by doing it in halves then swapping the halves to get a full crystal.
That goes on the bottom. Then top it with a shape that has pins under it.

You can drop shapes with pins onto crystals but not drop crystals, as per the title of your post. But I think your title needs punctuation to be clear.
If what you need is from bottom to top is pin-pin-shape-crystal. If so just shape then add crystal then pin.

You can put pins under a crystal, I have only done this in halves and used a swapper to create a fully pinned crystal up to now.

Thanks! One of the options I had thought I had tried, but must have done something wrong as it did break the crystals when I stacked, but now, it works. Appreciate the help!
