You can put any kind of shapes on a train, but here's the one issue I've seen happening a lot: You can't load more than one different shape on the same layer of the same wagon of a train, and orientation matters for them too.
No mixing - no nothing.
Rotation included (can't mix rotations).
(it's not an "issue" - its designed this way afaik - not a bug - just how it is.)
You can load all 3 layers - they can each have their own shape if you wish.
If you mix a shape - it will unload the package until its empty before loading the new shape (better off hitting that I key to purge the errant shapes at that point)
And before you ask - no flags to set to stop the train leaving without a full load....yet.
Also don't confuse fluid loaders with shape loaders.
Also make sure the train has a stop/car to go with loader/un-loader - tutorial goes over this pretty nicely - may want to read it over.
Also don't go to Reddit for advice - they don't really know all that much about the game to be honest.
