Shape stacking
There are no pins below the blue circles. Shouldn't the floating circle parts fall down to the ground?

No you the whole of top layer is stacked on the layer below.

If you want a top layer to fall to a lower layer, it can't have other quarters in it.

You need to stack --Cb--Cb on to Rg--Rg--, then stack the Cb--Cb-- on to the RgCbRgCb

The whole shape you put in top of the stacker always stays together.

Nope.

The only way the circle bits would fall to the bottom of the platform is if you had the pieces cut to make room for the shape pieces below.

This means there needs to be a gap for all pieces falling into place. If there's only room for one piece - it would not fall - as all pieces are treated as one connected layer.

In short - all or nothing in terms of space for dropping/stacking pieces.

Mess around a bit - test/experiment - you'll get a feel for the rules.
