Have you played the tutorials in the practice game? Thats where I got my infomation and then developed my action. Bowling is really much easier than batting.
Getting your heart ripped out after the 20 or so appeals turned down by 'Weasel" face the umpire does take some practice also.

(a) Before you bowl you select the length of the ball by pressing either Yellow, green or red buttons. This STARTS the bowlers run.
(b) Immeadiately select the type of ball (ie Leg cutter) using the left stick
(c) hold it in that position until the needle of the top gauge is somewhere between the start and end of the scale
(d) at the same time as yoiu select the ball type watch the bowler. As he nears the umpire pull back AND LET GO on the right stick. This commences the arm swing of the action.
(e) almost immeadiately after that push forward on the right stick. This delievers the Ball. IMPORTANTLY this push forward on the stick determains the direction of the ball so you must ensure that you push forward on the stick straight otherwise the delivery will be angled and not where youd'd like it to be.
Important things to appreciate.
(a) Bowling needs practice to get your timing right.
(b) Its not necessary to land on the poping crease, you can bowl behind it until your timing is better
(c) Develope some 'core' bread and butter deliveries to start with. Better to do some things really well than do a lot badly
(d) If you don't get the timing on the left stick its not all that important as the delivery will be slower but still OK. The important stick is the right stick.
Hope that this helps.
To be honest I don't even notice the left stick much anymore as I find it more or less automatic after a while.

(C) there is no need to hold the left stick as once started it is controlled by the right stick when you start the jump.
