That's a nice sentiment, at least you thought about us KB & mouse fossils. Good luck with the prtfolio! :)
I used to be anti everything console and am still of the belief that they are holding the quality of games back because they've become the primary design platform for almost all genres but I digress.
Having bought a rather cheap Xbox 360 for windows controller I must admit everything car related in any game feels better. I was playing Mafia 2 with controller driving and keyboard/mouse when not in a car. Like I said, just look at it as a tool for your versatile PC.
Also, playing the (cricket) demo it becomes immediately clear that the controller is the ideal method of control for this game and not because it's a console port.
I used a controller on a Computer way before I had a console.... way way back...
grats and no thanks.. you might as well just bin your PC, I'll stay old skool.
[edit] ..in retrospect, that seems a bit uncharitable. I think there IS a place for controllers in PC gaming, I just hope it doesn't become ubiquitous.
We do consider disabilities when we make our games. Indeed we have people come in to test for us, including those with Colour Blindness.
We could not find a way to make the game playable, in our opinion, for keyboard and mouse.
While that is great that you get some people with disability's to test your game you obviously didn't count on a scenario where a person with a physical disability like the use of one hand only wouldn't be able to play your games.
I also don't believe you cant get this to work on a keyboard and mouse. Everything is configurable. EA Cricket series you were able to use a keyboard and mouse.
Perhaps in the future when you develop games you will take my problem into consideration and i will even come and test it for you if you are in Australia.
I am glad to i didnt buy this game as i would have a big argument trying to get a refund for the game.
Too bad if you only have one functioning hand to play the game. Would you be laughing at my expense.
However Considerring that the comment you quoted was posted in 30th June this year and well before your comments then I can say that you have taken the comment out of context and it therefore appears offensive and demeaning to you.
IIRC the comment was made after several posts across a number of threads that bemoaned the non-availability of the Keyboard and mouse for use in game. Despite the Developers explaining that the controller was required because of the unique 360 degree shot making ability of the game.
These people persisted long after any reasonable person having the facts would have desisted in their complaining. I was therefore prompted to reply in the sarcastic nature of the quoted comment.
Respectivly

Some people (i.e. ME) can't really be bothered installing their controllers on it :'(
Well thats just lazy, a full 6 degrees of freedom can be achived easily with keyboard only - even without a mouse. And more accurately than any controller ever could achieve - Elite 1984 acheived this along with numerous flight and space sims from 20 years ago.
