Where is the "Special shop" for the DLC?
I bought the dlc 1.69$ and It's no where to be found unless its more into the game somewhere....you'd figure it would be in the very first town...

It's Makayla in Halai Village. With Survivor Pack DLC she will have different and discounted items on sale.

I just did a search and found 2 threads that may be of help:

Seems that if you got the DLC well after you get to the part AFTER the ship crashes and you make it to the village, and then find better weapons than the FIRST knife you get at the beach, and then dump that first knife, you will get no "BBQ Blade" and will have to start a new game.

Glad I only paid $1.69 for this "Survivor Pack".

Not true, you have blueprints for BBQ mod, so you can use it to mod any weapon related to it later and higher your level - the better base weapon you buy, quest reward or loot. Agree it's not strongest weapon but can be useful and works well as light source in dark places. As for the DLC itself you must start new game to activate it.

Still on Makayla topic: you can buy good quality weapons early in the game before you level up and loot better stuff, also discounted large medikits are fine. Ammo for weapons is cheaper than Paradise Camp npcs. But don't expect you get better items when your level increase, occasionaly there can be more unique stuff but will not change in terms of better stats.

So, I bought the DLC AFTER I am fairly far along, well past the beach part, and looked but do NOT have a blueprint for the BBQ mod.

Does this mean the ONLY way I'm getting the BBQ Blueprint is to start a new game?

Yes. If you played game before getting Survivor Pack it will not activate for your current game, no matter if you choose to start from chapter 1 or started new game plus after finishing the game. Will trigger only when starting fresh New Game, after wake up on the beach. It makes sense as info about DLC in your current game, started before it was detected and marked for that particular saved game/character profile is not stored.

Yea it only "activates" if you start an new char and go through the prolog, kina bulls*** tbh, good thing I wasent very far along like 15-20% I'm just going to randomly assume the 2x xp is just active without doing anything since theres no way to see besides killing mobs and comparing

Well, thanks for the replies.
Turns out I am only 14%, according to the game, and still at chapter 2.

Just acquired the boat, did a few side quests, and that's about it.

Glad i wasn't any further along so i can at least take advantage of the DLC by starting a new game. Just started that new game and, as reported above, I got the Pop-up on screen about the DLC Blueprint right after I woke up on the beach.

I'm already back up to 10% with the new game, so shouldn't take long to get back to where I was,

Thanks again for the replies :)
