It seems likely, but it will probably take a bit for that info to get online. I've been checking the Wiki but so far it's still pretty bare.

As for the effect, there are sonic grenades and mines that make non-boss zombies heads explode.

As for developer mods, either there are none, or they are absurdly well hidden (I've checked every inch of accessible real estate and haven't found anything. Just about to finish chapter 10, but I doubt chapters 11-13 will open up a lot more real estate.

I just beat the game and didn't find a single thing like the skulls in DI. You think that you'd run into at least one by misshap but I did every sidequest I seen and nothing like a dev mod was found. They are either deep in the side quests that need you to do a bunch for a singel person moving about the map or they are not in the game.

I know on at least 1 person that has had 2 sidequests that changed places after saving him the first time. Might be more like that in older parts of the map after you get into late game.

I have not found any, unfortunately. Also, did not encounter any real new mods except those with area effect and the ones for making bombs.

There is a continous quest that requires diamonds, only use for them it seems.
Just finished the game and finished all quests (except the one you can only do in the second playthrough), explored everything and found zilch... (lots of blueprints hidden away in Dead Zones or out of the way places, so exploring is useful).
