Analog/manual combat with KB/M mod/tweak?

I seem to remember that we have a mod for Dead Island for analog combat with KB/M, even if it requires pressing a button in the gamepad to accept request. I tried this for DI: Riptide, but didnt seem to work, and I'm actually annoyed that Techland didn't even develop this after 2 years with DI...Anyone knows how to get this to work or if there is anyway? I really like to do analog combat with melee and aiming guns with my mouse...Any ideas? Thanks!
