Dead island riptide download problem Help?!

Okay guys i downloaded dead island riptide before it was released in uk and it took untill day to get too 90% i was so pleased but i had to go do something so i paused the download and switched my pc off from the main switch on the pc but like 10 mins after i switched back on my pc and went to steam but it said i need to install it again iam so pissed now!!!!!! it was like 93% when i paused it and stuff to be exact now this problem occured If you can Help me!!! Please,Please! Comment as i have crappy internet speed for some odd reason when my rate should actually be 10.00 MB and therefore do not want to download it again So please help me thanks!:p

If you are getting lousy speeds you can try switching the Steam download server to do so go to "Steam - Settings - Downloads+Cloud - Download region" and pick the region closest to you. Steam should ususally continue downloading where it left off but if the game files got deleted or corrupted for some reason then you can either redownload it or get a friend with great connection and download it at his/her house.

well When i was downloading it before it was 3.5gb now 6024 mb or sumthing?

The pre-load size was 3.5 GB the actual game is about 6GB so everything is correct there. Dunno why the pre-load was so much smaller though.

what was preload enyway what did it do may i ask

It downloads most of the game files before the game was released so there wouldn't be so much to download when the game is released.

how long do you think it will be if it was rate 80-200 kbs?:)

At a constant 200 kb/s rate and if the game is exactly 6 gb then it will take just a little bit more then 524 minutes. I would suggest changing your download region because with a 10 megabit connection you should get atleast 1 megabyte/s download speed.

I don't remember how much it downloaded for me, i just know my game folder size is 5.88 gb.

Yeh thats good that means the preload must of took away 3.5 gb then :p and the rest which is 3.5gb just got to wait out ill be on my computer all night so should be done by morning or before depends thanks enyway For making me understand better:)
