Throwing Knives vs regular weapons?
Has anyone noticed a difference between throwing knives and regular thrown weapons? The throwing knives don't seem to do any more damage or boomerang any more often, so I'm kinda wondering what the point is.

The differences/perks are kinda glaringly obvious. Weapons designated specifically as Throwing Weapons do not take up inventory space, stack with themselves the same way as grenades do so they can be thrown in succession while only taking up one equip slot, never (as far as I know) need to be repaired (though they cannot be upgraded), are relatively cheaper and less risky (both in the fact that aren't throwing a well upgraded and modded weapon, and you won't accidentally throw a weapon you didn't mean to when it automatically swaps the next one), they are a very effective alternative to firearms (especially early in the game), and (if I'm not mistaken) Logan gains passive stat bonuses for them.

The only point is you can carry a stack of them and not use up any inventory space. Note that the throwing knives can be modded as well.

Well I hadn't really played long enough to notice any differences :P But that does sound awesome since I'm playing a Logan who's specced out to be a beast with throwing 1H sharp weapons. I'm gonna have to invest in a ton of them if they really stack like that. With 50% boomerang and a good sized stack or two I'll be a lot more effective. Thanks to you both!
Also, small note, I'm pretty sure picking them back up is always instant - like looting money.

It is instant. I just went to the thrown weapon vendor and dropped like 20k on the level 61 orange ones... I am unstoppable XD
Hey, did you hit the stack limit? If not, how much did you have stacked?

I haven't hit a limit yet I don't think. 10 stacked so far

Although one thing I'm noticing is that they do tend to disappear every so often. I'm wondering I'm just experiencing some bugs or if they're programmed to "break" after so many throws.

I had a simular question. I was wondering if anyone knows wether they count as a 1 handed weapon?. I mean it seems pretty obvious that they would be but, I'd hate to invest in Skills that affect 1 handed weapons only to find out that it was a waste of points :(

actually you can mod them....venom mod..doesnt work on all throwing knives...but it will mod about half the different types
