Coop Workaround Confirmed Working

Following helps you get COOP working with Tunngle.

Tunngle
===================
1. Download Install Tunngle (Make sure you got port forward setup)
2. Join a Tuungle Room (Dead Island Riptide)
3. Open Dead ISland, Change ingame settings to LAN continue game and search lobby for players


Note:
If you still cant connect you with tunngle you may have to bind IP
Download Install ForceBindIP-1.2a-Setup.exe (Force bind your Tunngle adapter IP to the game)
Follow Usage command: http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/forcebindip/
Run the command to bind and launch game.
(Example: ForceBindIP {5198029D-44F6-40C3-82B8-4EA97DA8609D} "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\diriptide\DeadIslandGame_x86_rwdi.exe")
Continue game. Search Looby for mates.

Hamachi
===================
Hamachi works too.
But you have to make sure the hamachi network is set to Private network.
thats why it works for some and not for others.

Look here to change it to Private: (pay specific attention to the part that mentions secpol.msc)

If it then still doesnt work you will have to bind the IP of hamachi as above

Note. You can only join other people who have tunngle installed and are connected to the same Tunngle Network.

we are using steam official, it still runs steam and still updates to steam achievements and save cloud all it does it binds your IP to tunngle to allow LAN to work..

some users have been complaining that hammachi doesnt work for them but tungle does so im gonna use tungle.

But they should both work fine as they are essentialy doing the same

We havent tried it with hamachi but it should also work if you bind the IP, were planning to try it out soon

How does Tunngle work. Do you have to join rooms or add friends like how Hamachi is? Or will I just be able to see random players?

install or extract it to System32 folder.
To find your Tungle IP run tunngle and let it connect. Take notice of the IP in tunngle on bottom left of window.
You can either use the IP or Registry Key of the tunngle adapter to bind to.

This is what i did step by step and it workes fine for me

1.Install and register an account with tungle @http://www.tunngle.net/
2.Get ForceBindIP from here http://www.r1ch.net/stuff/forcebindip/
3.Install it
4.Open a command prompt window
5.type the following and press enter after each step
6.cd..
7.cd..
8.cd/windows/syswow64
9.ForcebindIP.exe X.X.X.X "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\diriptide\DeadIslandGame_x86_rwdi.exe"

NOTE1 To find your IP look at the bottum left of your tongle client it will be there
use this address to replace the X's in step 9
NOTE2 you will need to modify the location of your game.exe in the command line
if you havenot installed steam to the default location on your PC.

10.In tongle do a network search for "Dead Island Riptide" and join one of the Riptide lobbys that show up for your country.

11.Go to your game and set the online option to LAN
12.Start a game and press esc and look in the game lobby to see if you can find your freinds
13.ENJOY FINALY

been playing for a couple of hours no dramas
