[v1.4] DI: Riptide Helper, the all-in-one tweaking tool

Hey everyone,

I'm the original author of Dead Island Helper. In the past week I've received a bunch of emails asking me to update the tool for Riptide and so, that's what I've done!

This is a separate program to Dead Island Helper. I thought it best to make unique tools for each game to eliminate any confusion.

What does Dead Island: Riptide Helper do?

• Fixes keyboard-related micro-stuttering.
  
• Unbind / rebind hard-coded controls (Use, firearm melee, mousewheel, throw special, charge, etc).
  
• Change the field-of-view (FOV).
  
• Disable various visual effects including motion blur, bloom, SSAO, weapon refraction and more.
  
• Launch Dead Island: Riptide with intro movies disabled.
  
• Disable event logging, which can improve load times and reduce stuttering (v1.2).
  
• Enable SMAA (Subpixel Morphological Anti-Aliasing). Uses Andrej Dudenhefner's injectSMAA: http://mrhaandi.blogspot.com.au/p/injectsmaa.html (1.2).
  
• Change audio APIs, which can help with crackling audio.
  
• Boost NPC voice volume.
  
• Auto-terminate the "Berkelium" background process, which can improve performance (1.21).
  
• Various other shortcuts, tweaks and improvements.

Please note this is a beta release -- I'm still trying to figure out exactly what tweaks still work and which need to be updated. "Overcast weather", for instance, doesn't seem to do anything in Riptide from my limited testing, though I've left the option visible so people can test it themselves.

Most of the other tweaks just required updating their line positions in the internal files.

If you have an issues, the best thing you can do is leave a comment on my website[www.theplaywrite.com], that way I don't have to traverse the internet looking for bug reports and suggestions! :)

Regarding the new splash screen in Dead Island: Riptide Helper: Just select either of the two options and it won't appear again.

It was a wee bit trickty for me to exit as well. I have to experiment with the mouse position (to the leftwise seems to work the best) but eventually a right click exits it.

I'm sorry, thought you were talking about the system tray. I can't really help you with that one.

thank you man..i used the DI helper and i thought coud be used for Riptide too (i read somewhere this)..but i can't choose or lunch the game with the old file..so i download this version , only for adjust the FoV..graphics seems much better and colored in this sequel...

Hi, how can i delete all the twiks the helper made to my game? it messed up all my keybind..now i have many duplicaate command in command list and i chaged use (1 of the 3 that now i have in Option) keybind with kick , as i always do, i prefer using F to kick instead of E, and now when i clik for open an item i kick and use in the same time:! i can't map Fury bind anymore..i simply used this helper only to have FoV fix..all was fine for me in this new episode (graphics is much more colored now on default)...but this helper don't worked well as the older version on Dead island...so what i must do to revert back to dafaul, maybe keeping only the FoV at 75°? thanks for help

no help for me?? tha's not funny...i get the damn multiple command button i menu and dont know what do what...sry bad english,, i only need the FoV fix , but helper screwed my key mapping..
