Do you really have to do the evening hangout invites to not have something bad happen?

I mean like when junepi or Sanada invite you to do something with them at night out in the world. I recall there was a message that popped up at the beginning of the game saying if you didn't do these it could hurt your relationship with them. not sure what that means or if theres any real consequences

They are missable, meaining if you don't do the first one in a certain timeframe, you will miss out on the other ones. They are basically like social links for them, but more story related. I would advise you do them, simply because they add a lot of depth to those characters, but not doing them wont hurt your relationship with them so you don't necessarily have to
