If you don't want to use that, you need at least level 70. My party is Akihiko (buff & debuff), Aigis (buff, remove buff and deal decent damage) and Yukari (main healer). They also have Diarahan. You can equip them any equipment has light/dark evasion to increase change of insta-kill.
You should using Persona has no weekness. Or null light/dark to increase survival chance.
use buffs and theurgies, my party was mc, akihiko, yukari and koromaru
koromaru has debilitate which is huge
It's not a gimmick boss. It doesn't have any real tricks up its sleeves. The Reaper just has a large health pool and access to Megidoloan. Cast Dekaja to nullify Heat Riser when it casts it on itself; debuff it via Debilitate whenever the opportunity arises, prioritize party healing when needed, and keep your own party buffed. If you are still getting wiped out then try grinding out a few more levels before attempting to challenge it again.
If you have Victory Cry, farming him is very easy.
