This is a legit masterpiece boys
I just beat the game, and wow... I wasn't expecting much cause I tried to play the classic one for around 3 times in the past and never got past the first month (I always got bored).
But with this remake they really got my attention, and I can say for sure as a SMT 3 and Persona 5 big fan that this hits HARD. I was disappointed with P4 for personal reasons, but I'm really really impressed by how Atlus raises the bar everytime. This is a next-gen looking game, even tho it has "anime" graphics, you can't deny how beautiful this game is, I risk to say that certain areas and Tartarus floors are even better than Persona 5 Royal graphics.
Of course we don't have mind blowing dungeons like P5 did, but Persona 3 scope was a lot smaller compared to 5 but at the same time big by it's story. I like what they did to bring new players. It's engaging, it's interesting, it's chaotic, it's the perfect mix between SMT and persona!
I'm so glad I played this. Atlus, thank you for all your consideration into this remake, I truly enjoyed every second.

What personal reasons disappointed you with Persona 4? Your parents beat you with your copy until your disc broke?

lol no, that’s not it. I just decided to not talk about it to not take the spotlight out from persona 3 and the real objective of this post. But in a few words, I just think P4 too draggy and I don’t like it’s characters. story was not shocking and the plot was kinda predictable.

Yea P4 story got predictable and getting a true ending was easy as P3. P4G just kinda made it even more obvious who was the true villain. Marie was an okay addition, but it really didn't help the story much. The biggest benefit Golden has is the added social events with your crew. Something that is somewhat lacking in P3 and P5. Overall, I would say P4 is the weakest in story when it comes to modern Persona.

P4 is boring.

Can't wait for a new generation of Persona fans to be disappointed by The Answer completely crapping on the message of Persona 3!

Nope. The original is a masterpiece.

Persona 3 Reload is a streamlined Persona 3 experience with many meaningful gameplay elements removed.

I mean, it is still a great game, but not a masterpiece.

Idk what all these elements were, but the one I remember you complaining about was the Fatigue system. It really wasn't that big of a deal either as long as you manage it right. It was just tedious at times. Not only that, you could abuse the fact that party members didn't get tired right before a full moon in the original. In FES, they wouldn't leave your party while tired and their status was changed to normal for the full moon battle. It only slowed down grinding at best and was poorly designed. Just like having an AI controlled party.

fatigue system
social links break system
The Answer missing

Its just too streamlined for its own good. You can literally speedrun up to the next obstactle in Tartarus on the first day when the previous obstacle was finally removed and the rest of the month its just a trivial social links stuff til the newest obstactle gets removed

Yea its good. It bothers me that it is a lot less complex than P5 or even P4 however. Only 3 skills instead of 5. The dungeon is just 100s of randomly generated floors. Good story and characters though.

Idk about you, but you could literally wait and then speed run to the next block if you wanted in one night in FES/Portable. I already stated that fatigue meant nothing if you wait right before the full moon.

Socical link breaking? If I'm remembering right, that mainly applied to female social links due to the fact that you were required to date all the girls. This was a very idiotic design to begin with and force you to focus on one female social link first. I'm not sure why you ever thought this was good. If you're talking about reverse social links, they should be still in the game. That said, it was always pretty obvious what choices would reverse a social link.

The answer is rumored to be coming too. Hopefully with revamp gameplay and maybe tweaked story.

yeah I meant reverse social links ....I just do not think things if controversial should be removed. IMHO they should be edited and adjusted so they work better.

For example, the Junction system in FF8 was broken. So it would be ok to remove it completely in a remake? I dont think so

that’s not true at all.
fatigue was removed yes, but reversal social link is still there. I did with the gourmet king and saw on youtube people doing on Chihiro.
The answer is only about time to be announced since it was found in data mining by leakers

I hate to break it to ya. Not many people liked the Answer and the fatigue system was just annoying. Also Atlus knew that very few players liked the Answer.

I'm not sure what you think the fatigue system could of been changed to, but the whole system was meant to slow players down.

I used to wonder why people thought atlus made games, then I realized those people also think Persona 5 was a good game and I’m wasting my time trying to understand the logic of those with downs.
