Buff/Debuff interactions and dekaja/dekunda?
(playing on gamepass)

Wondering how buffs and debuffs interact.
Do buffs and debuffs overwrite each other or co-exist and balance each other out?

examples:
I'm encountering an enemy that casts Heatriser.
If I cast dekaja it obviously gets rid of heatriser completeley, but what if I cast debilitate, then he casts heatriser. Is the result at that point a zero balance, or did his heatriser overwrite debilitate and he is now buffed because it was cast more recently?

Sometimes I see the arrows to show if an enemy is buffed or debuffed in an atribute, but it doenst always show up and I can't figure out how to bring it up consistantly for testing (its like it always an accident or random chance when it shows up for me)

Thanks

Buffs and debuffs balance each other out. If enemy casts heat riser, and you cast Debilitate, the enemy stats go back to neutral. If the enemy then casts heat riser again, it'll go back up to buffed state.

Casting debilitate on a heat rise'd enemy will not make their stats negative. You would have to debilitate them twice in a row to do that.

As for the buff/debuff arrows, those only show up if the enemy actually has buffs or debuffs. If you don't see the arrows, it means the enemy stats are neutral.

in this game dekaja and dekunda kinda useless
because yes, you can remove heat riser effect with debilitate completely, dekaja is only slightly useful than debilitate because it has cheaper SP cost and dekaja unlock much earlier than debilitate, after you have access to deblitate you don't need dekaja anymore

i never ever keep dekaja or dekunda except for my just for fun persona build

Thanks. I probably shouldnt have debilitate this early (mid 40s), but got it on a skill change fusion and have kept passing it onto other personas. :) The cost saving of dekaja still makes it worth having it available for boss fights though.
